JEANNEAU SUN ODYSSEY 29.2 Used Sailing Yachts in Japan for sale

Launched in 1998, Yamaha imported and sold the Jano Sun Odyssey 29.2. It is a single spreader fractional rig non-opera wrap type. It has a jib furler and the mainsail is a leech batten type, slider version. There is a spin rigging, a spin for 26ft and a gennaker on board. The engine is a Yanmar 2GM. During the trial run, it was over 7 knots at GPS speed, but I think it is in the 6 knot range due to the tides. The engine starts well and was oiled and zinc changed in November. She has a very old type of autopilot, but we are told that it works, but we have not tested it. There is no GPS. There is no refrigerator in the galley. The cabin is spacious and clean. We checked the underfloor and it was very clean and dry. The floorboards were clean but there were some tanning marks. There is a private toilet and a manual marine toilet. The bottom of the boat was painted last November. The boat was raised this time and the rusted areas on the keel were scraped and puttyed, then epoxy primer was applied and Sea Jet 033 bottom paint was applied. There were many small blisters on the bottom of the hull, but they did not appear to be growing. She is 29ft but has a lot of hull volume, so I think she is usable in the cabin with a high ceiling. Sailing is easy sailing, but I would recommend this boat to those who are mainly interested in cabin life. The cabin is clean and dry.
