Exterior
The boat was built by Yamaha of Amakusa in collaboration with Mine Shipbuilding at that time. The bridge is DY, and the hull is one of several boats built by Mine Shipbuilding. Therefore, she seems to be stronger than ordinary DY boats against currents and side waves, especially against following waves. It is equipped with gaburi stoppers on both sides.
Casting deck/front deck
The casting deck is constructed with thick FRP, so you can cast as hard as you like. It is coated with a non-slip coating. The bow rail is designed in a position and width that makes it easy to get in and out of the front while carrying fishing gear. It is also reinforced so it does not wobble at all. The anchor stand is wrapped with FRP. The hatch is also heavy and stiff. The paint is only peeling off. There are no bothersome odors or littering that are common on recreational fishing boats.
The aft deck
has a cool back rail design. It is well secured. Fresh water tank is built-in under the hatch but is not currently used. The fuel tank is 500+500, totaling about 1000 liters. The cylinders can be used normally, although there was a buildup of grime under the cylinders. The hatch is heavy and gutted.
Bridge/Side Deck/Private Toilet
The back of the bridge has been extended to add a private toilet. It is not just a box type toilet, but it is designed with a rounded edge to match the bridge type without any discomfort. There are six LED fish-collecting lights for nighttime burning. Hugal and blood drainage hoses and fish tank blowers are installed. The rollers work OK. The side deck is spacious so you can fish here. An air conditioner outdoor unit is located out of the way in the back.
The cockpit
is a professional electronic instrumentation including GPS, fish finder, radar, autopilot, and triple remote control. Chairs can seat four people if stuffed. They are concerned about leaks from the ceiling hatch or somewhere else, especially during heavy rain.
Cabin with air conditioning
This is a space where two adults can lie down. It is a comfortable space with air conditioning.
Yamaha MD859K Head overhauled in April 2022
This is a second generation engine that the previous owner replaced. The gauges have been taken over so the detailed hour meter is unknown. It cruises at about 19-20 knots. It is an old engine, so we don't run it maxed out. The oil and filter are changed frequently. The exhaust is a side exhaust, so the hull is black and dirty, which is a drawback. There is a 12kw generator, so if you need it, it is included. It is stored in our warehouse.
Maintenance Manual Head Overhaul Replacement Parts
Apr. 2022/ Head overhaul, hoses, injection pump (linkage parts) replaced. Oct. 2022/ Intercooler cleaning, turbine assembly replacement (due to gas leakage). May 2023/ Repaired the fuel pump, and replaced the delivery gasket (due to the starting failure caused by air mixing). January 2024: Engine oil and oil filter replaced. March, 2024/Hugel pump impeller replacement. December 2024/Engine oil replacement
